🐶 KEEP YOUR PET SAFE AROUND WATER 🐶
- Always check the water temperature before your dog uses the pool, making sure its not too hot or too cold. When left in the sun, the water in smaller pools can get hot.
- Monitor your pool for debris and algae, and clean your pool often. (Especially if left for longer periods).
- The water should always be clear and clean. It it's not, change our your water. To prevent infections, always dry out you pooch's ears after swimming.
- Make sure you have plenty of fresh clean water for your dogs, and prevent your dog from drinking pool water. On really hot days, you can even place large ice cubes in your dogs water to keep it cooler for hours (an empty yoghurt container and cottage cheese containers are perfect for this!!)
💦 DOG POOL SAFETY TIPS 💦
- Never allow your don in the pool unsupervised and always be mindful of dogs in the water with underlying health or mobility issues.
- Consider keeping the pool in shaded areas, or partially shaded areas if full shade is not possible. We all know that the water helps cool your pooch's but pools left in the sun can retain the heat and cause the adverse effects, even as severe as dehydration or heat stroke.
- Keep the pool in a safe area and empty when not in use. Unsupervised water can be dangerous, even fatal to pets and children.
